Tuey Named CR Women’s Basketball Coach

EUREKA- Even before DJ Broome could coach his first game for College of the Redwoods, he is moving on to the Bay Area and former assistant Jain Tuey will take over the head coaching position for the women’s basketball program. Broome has accepted a position to be assistant head coach for Sonoma State men’s basketball.

Tuey is a Fortuna grad and a former Redwoods player herself. She has been an assistant with Redwoods for two years and will be joined by new assistant coach Darren Turpin.

And while the new title still comes as a surprise, she is ready to go to work this season.
